Its walkable downtown runs on independent shops, bakeries, and long-standing local restaurants, and the surrounding streets are known nationally for their mid-century modern architecture — the Glass House sits just off Main Street. An hour from Manhattan by train and minutes from the Merritt Parkway, it is easy to reach and easy to spend a weekend in, with quiet tree-lined neighborhoods, open parkland, and a strong arts community that makes it a natural fit for a competition weekend.

RAVE Dance Challenge brings a full-production regional dance competition to New Canaan, Connecticut on April 16-18, 2027. Dance studios and independent dancers compete across every level — Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, and our Spotlight division — and every routine division, from solos and duets to large groups and EPIC lines. Who Competes

RAVE welcomes registered studios and independent dancers alike. Dancers compete in age divisions from Itty Bitty (2–4) through Pro (20+), at the Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, and Spotlight levels. Routine divisions run from solos, duets, and trios to small groups, large groups, lines, and EPIC lines — plus our ICON title competition for soloists.

Road To Nationals

RAVE New Canaan is part of the 2027 regional tour serving Connecticut and beyond. The season leads to RAVE Nationals, June 27 – July 1, 2027 in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
